Which Vibration Machine?
Doc asks:
I am in the process of setting up a weight and life style disease management center. I would appreciate if anybody could help me make a choice out of Galileo and Turbosonic. Please explain why the machine you choose is better. This could mean a lot to me because I have never used any WBV machine. I am really counting on your opinion.

February 8th, 2007Thanks Kris and Peter T. I realise I won’t have a Roll’s model but it will only be me using it. I have arthritis creeping thru my body from neck and it arrived at my toes this season. I want to exercise and these machines sound perfect for me. Thanks again.
I would not spend any more myself than $1000 on a purely Therapy model .

February 9th, 2007Hallo Lloyd
I decided to buy a good commercial machine for training and i am between the Fitvibe Excel Pro and the Hypergravity Olympic Professional .
So i need your advice . Which one you thimk is more powerful ?
I personally believe because the Fitvibe is made of Plastic and the Hypergravity is made of steel , i would better buy the hypergravity. Besides the Fitvibe is a very good machine according your words at previous posts of this forum .
Unfortunately Hypergravity does not have sellers in Greece but Fitvibe does have . So if decide to buy the Hypergravity i must prepay them because they have not Cash On Delivery service for Greece .
If you were me , what would you do ?
Or can you recommend me another machine like the fitvibe or hypergravity and is good for training? Is the vibrogym comparable to these machines for training purposes? Ring a man called Kevin Barclay-Webb in London.
He runs the ” The Fitness Lounge “.
http://www.thefitnesslounge.co.uk/
He will get you a Vibro-Gym with good back-up. He has been selling units for over 6 years and is the only person on that side of the world I trust.
Also try the Body-Shaker. It is a very solid unit and will last you years. I have 4 myself.
- Jason
February 10th, 2007Thanks a lot Lloyd
I will try your options .
I think the bodyshaker is more powerful than vibrogym .
Thanks again, because you are the only person i trust in WBV industry .

February 10th, 2007I know what you saying about cheap asian imports but to be quite honest I think I can only afford a cheap asian import along with a lot of struggling families.
- BEV
February 10th, 2007Are there any websites with before and after photos after using vibration platforms??
Bev we arnt telling you not to buy an Asian import. We just dont want you to expect to much from it and as a result give up.
We are trying very hard to break that cycle.

February 10th, 2007Hallo Lloyd
The link for bodyshaker http://www.bodyshaker.nl/ is not working .do you know if these machines are still on sale ?
do you know if bodyshaker stopped producing any machines any more ? - Kris
February 10th, 2007Jason that link does work:
From http://www.bodyshaker.nl/ home page:
“History
The idea for the BodyShaker was the result of the increasing interest in health products, modern beauty ideals and the demands of today’s fast society. It was also important to make the BodyShaker accessible to a large target group, as the competition was many times more expensive. Since 2000, the BodyShaker has been produced in our company A.G.M. which is based in Oud Beijerland, near Rotterdam. Prior to this, the company made complex machinery for the production lines of major industrial manufacturers.“The BodyShaker has been designed using our excellent in-house technical expertise. The production line was set up and the first BodyShakers were produced with high quality materials by expert personnel. A medical team was formed, mainly consisting of physiotherapists. They were responsible for the successful training of many people on the BodyShaker. Today the BodyShaker is still produced using the same top quality materials and expert personnel for a very competitive price. In addition to the professional version, we also make a version for home use. The medical team now includes national and international physiotherapists and professional sports trainers who give training at every level. For sport, health, beauty and anti-aging. From amateurs to professionals and for top athletes and patients in rehabilitation.”

February 10th, 2007Thanks Kris for quick reply
I will check my browser if there is any problem. - Jason
February 11th, 2007Lloyd , first of all thanks for your advice about the vibro gym and the bodyshaker .
Which one you think is more powerful and last longer time for training ? The vibrogym or the bodyshaker ?
An amateur eye like mine sees the two machines as the same . Is it true ?
And what do you mean saying Kevin Barclay-Webb of Vibro-Gym U.K. subsequently worked hard to fix the quality control problem with the Vibro-Gyms? Is there any problem at the Vibrogym Mechanics or something ?
Or you mean that all the vibrogyms are not the same and some are built with different quality than others. The Vibro-Gym had some electronic problems for a while that effected my business. Only Kevin took it seriously enough to effect change.
I would see the Body-Shaker as more of a guys GYM model.
The Vibro-Gym as more for Therapy/Training.

February 12th, 2007Lloyd or Anyone Knows
Do you know the price for the Bodyshaker Pro ?
I am trying to contact with them and until now no respond received. If you do not know the exact price , please tell me a rough price .

February 15th, 2007BEWARE OF ANY POSTS ON THIS SITE!!
Nick Morris, Lloyd Shaw and KG are all the same person filling many blogs with their promotional material and cutting down anyone that is not working with them.
YOU NEED TO GO STROKE YOURSELVES SOMEWHERE ELSE.
YOU SHOULD REALLY TRY TO BE LESS OBVIOUS!!!!!!!!
BEWARE OF ANY POSTS ON THIS SITE!!

February 15th, 2007Its a shame talking like this Kerry . But i have a question . Who are you Really ? Why you dont write your second name . Kerrys are thousands in this world . Lloyd posts his full name and his photo , can you ?

February 15th, 2007Lloyd
The Bodyshaker Pro and the Hypergravity Olympic Professional i suppose are good machines .
But which one you think is better for training ?
I cant see any eye catching diferences because both they are made of Steel , they have the same amplitude etc
The only diference i noticed is the frequency settings .Do you believe that they are doing the same job ?
If not which one you think will last longer until the plateau ? Which one is sturdier , stronger and finally more professional ?King Regards
Dont worry guy’s , I dont come with an off button.
Any of you guy’s play chess ? It’s always right at the end game , when your opponent realizes the finality of their defeat , they get desperate and make the dumbest moves.
It is so painfull to watch I sometimes let them take the move back.
In this case I wont..

February 16th, 2007Please Lloyd tell me your opinion about the following .
The Bodyshaker Pro and the Hypergravity Olympic Professional i suppose are good machines .
But which one you think is better for training ?

The only diference i noticed is the frequency settings .Do you believe that they are doing the same job ?
If not which one you think will last longer until the plateau ? Which one is sturdier , stronger and finally more professional ? Very hard to put one above the other. I have only had personal experience with the Body-Shaker. But I believe the two are close.
No two machines are exactly the same .
The Hypergravity has a few more features. But of course come at a price.
And may not be readily available everywhere as with the Body-Shaker. Where you live may end up playing a part in your decision.

February 16th, 2007Thanks Lloyd
Keep the good job

February 20th, 2007Hi, first of all thanks for all the info on this blog!
Now to you Lloyd, what do you think of this machine? :
http://www.motionsexperten.se/vibbrationstraening-p-114.html?osCsid=82f39594f42ae255a4835142844b07dbbased on the specs:
“abilica Vibro Max”
30, 35, 40, 45 HZ
2mm and 4mm amplitude.
150kg max user weight.
65kg weight of machine.Otherwise the closest training centre to me with a vibration machine uses the Vibmax.
The problem is that both me and my girlfriend want to use it for wheight loss/training, and using the vibmax at the centre for two years is as much as buying the “abilica”.
And we would probably use the abilica at home more than going to the centre and trainging.
What would you say? buy the machine or try to go the centre and workout????
I’m more for buying the machine as going to the centre is a little of a hassle for us. But if the Abilica is no good i don’t want to waste the money..any/ all ideas welcome.
Thanks in advance Christian

February 21st, 2007Hey Lloyd did you get any answer to your letter of complaint to fitness New Zealand?
Yes , But not a straight answer. They claim its all just a happy coincidence. Which was fully expected considering what they think is accepted practice.
I have already sent my complaint through to the Commerce Commisssion.
As mine was not the only complaint apparently laid I expect some results. But god do the CC move slowly.Someone higher up the food chain though was interested and called me. So we have a plan to deal with it.
A copy of my letter recent letter. Following the advice of Jim Bagley of Fitness N.Z. …
I have been asked to approch you by Jim Bagley , on a few points I believe would disqualifiy you from being on the board of Fitness N.Z. as per its own ethics code.
(1) Please state for the record the Dynamic load specs for both Vibration Training units you sell to the public and commercial premises.
Note : this will differ from the static load .
(2) Did you at any stage go into direct competition with a tenant while actively being a landlord.
(3) Have you or your company ever used another companies trademarked name to sell products.
I await your response which I will then CC to Mr. Bagley with the relevant details surrounding these concerns.
Regards Lloyd Shaw

February 23rd, 2007Lloyd,
On your Vibrating machine resource page it would be extremly helpful to us who are totally new to this field if you could find it in yourself to add your comments on capabilities and some form of rating for the different companies and their machines. Here is a short-list if a few well knowm brands. And my rating on their performance.
“Therapy” is only for light stimulation work.
“Training ” is an actual workout. Some have the quality to produce both effects.
To keep things simple though , no ” Training ” models are being produced in Asia to date. So always find our where units is actually manufactured.
AKA….. Power-Plate is now soley owned by a U.S. based company. Their new factory is in Taiwan. But their head office is in Holland ? Do you homework.

February 24th, 2007Hi Loyd,
I have tried to follow the discussions on thist site for some time. I live in the UK just outside of Cambridge and ther are NO facilities here for any vibration training. I really am excited about this but I am a pure amateur. I would like to buy a machine for private use but I am cofused.
You stated somewhere on the site that you were releasing some material about the difference between pivotal and lineal machines. I have seen your recommendations about the different frequenceies etc. but I am still nervous.
To be more specific. I had thought about a Galileo system but now I am unsure since you state this is more for therapy. I want toinvest in a system that can give me a work out for my whole body. just to give you some guide lines I am 60 yaers young but need to shape up. Quite good at aerobics but not at strength excercises. Find lifting weights boring.
Why did you think the Galileo only was good for therpy and not for training?
Also when do you expext to publish the note you said about the different technologies.
BR
I will submit my work this week. I promise it will be worth the wait. And clear up some issues for everybody.
Lloyd,
I know PowerPlate is now a U.S. company. The manufacturer who produced for PowerPlate, could be a Taiwanese but their factory is certainly located in China, I just could not remember whether it is in Zhuhai or Shenzhen. I have a friend just visited the factory months ago.
Anyway, it is irrelevant whether the factory is in China or Taiwan. PowerPlate is assembled with cheap Asian components and of cheap craftsmanship.
TC
Hello Pete,
I know you are expecting answer from expert, Lloyd. Allow me to give my opinion.
Pivotal type vibration plate like GALILEO allows less than 10 training positions; contrarily, you can do a lot more training positions with lineal vibration plates.
Pivotal type vibration cannot achieve optimal “WHOLE BODY EFFECT” because our hip movement naturally absorbs a great deal of vibration energy when you stand on the plate.
I highly recommend you to go for lineal vibration plates, like Lloyd’s Vibra-Train or FITVIBE.
By reading this forum, I am convinced Lloyd has very good knowledge in CWBV therefore I trust he can produce good vibration plates eventhough I still do not understand some of his theory and have not seen a Vibra-Train. You have to ask Lloyd how can you get a Vibra-Train in U.K.
For FITVIBE, my studio in Hong Kong is using FITVIBE. FITVIBE is 100% made in Germany. For starters, FITVIBE is more friendly because of its gradually frequency start-up and fade-out feature. On the other hand, it is also powerful enough for training elite athletes. Here is the U.K. dealers’ info of FITIVBE:

TC……
good spotting on the minimal application of Pivatol platforms. There is a zoological reason why . My new artical has been submited to vt-net and will hopefully begin to explain the differences.Lloyd,
I shall study it.
Nice to find this forum and to know you through internet.
There are a lot more I can learn from you, Master Shaw!!

Lloyd,
Where is your new article.

February 25th, 2007Can anyone give a comparison re: similarities and/or differences between Fitvibe and Hypergravity? I see that Fitvibe has a kind of insertible card with programs to follow. Hypergravity gives only a chart/poster of positions. Is the Fitvibe “personal coach” a good thing for learners? Are they both steel machines carrying the same weight load under pressure? Thanks.
- Pete
February 25th, 2007Hi Lloyd,
thanks for your response and I am now eagerly waiting to see your material on the site.
I can see that this whole subject and training can be wide open for incorrect statements and inferior products.
Keep up the good work.

A note to all…
Read carefully
I voluntarily come here to answer questions from those who seek information about Vibration Training/Therapy.
And will continue to do so.
But I will no longer respond to those people who obviously have other agenda’s or repeat questions already answered ( as per Kirk , this forum has an entire section on what you ask..).
I am sorry guy’s but you stick out like sore thumbs even to the less experienced.
It brings the tone of the entire website down. And will no longer be tolerated by myself. If someone else would like to answers them , be my guest.
